Dear Visitor. Happy New Year! 「Akemashite-Omedetou_gozaimasu」
We look forward to welcoming you to INABANA.jp again this year.
I have heard that in English-speaking cultures, 1 January, the New Year, is the break in the year and has no greater significance than that. This is probably because the important Christian feast of Christmas has greater significance.
By comparison, in Japan, where the Christian culture is not so strong, Christmas has a strong sense of being just another day of events.
INABANA.jp has been thinking about when we should send our New Year’s greetings to you, but as this is a blog from Japan, we have decided to greet you on 1 January in the Japanese way.
There are many different cultures, both English-speaking and Japanese, and from many different countries around the world.
When looking at INABANA.jp, you may feel some cultural discomfort. But still, we hope you can get a sense of the differences between the different cultures and the meanings that lie on the other side of them.
We will continue to make every effort this year to create articles that allow people to enjoy and learn about the differences between the different cultures.
I look forward to your continued good will in the this year.
